Ryan Sanchez is an artist, illustrator, and author. He was raised as a latch key
kid in the suburbs of LA LA Land, California. To keep himself entertained as a
child, he drew on sidewalks, streets, walls, shoes, clothing, textbooks, and
anything else he could get his hands on. |

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Linas studied art history at Harvard University, with additional studies in illustration at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.
Linas also spent several years editing illustrated books at Harry N. Abrams, Inc., where he had the opportunity to work with such picture-book luminaries as Laurent de Brunhoff and Maurice Sendak.
